Russo’s

After a fire that forced the Russo’s business owner to completely rebuild the building, he was ready for a new start.

Beginning Russo’s redesign, all I had was the company name and the year the company started. The design we ended up with was one of the very firsts I came up with and we fought hard to convince the owner to go with this design. After lots of back and forth from the customer asking for Trajan and Comic Sans font (if you know, you know..), he finally decided on the font we all preferred. The owner told us that this font reminded him of his grandfather’s original logo, which made the most sense for this family owned company.

These were some of the first large scale signs I had designed, and the fact that I had designed this logo myself as well made this project one of my most favorites so far.
